The Bridge between Education and Business in Jacksonville!
Junior Achievement of North Florida was chartered in 1963. Junior Achievement continues to operate on the principal that economic education and workforce preparation contribute to a lifetime of success. Junior Achievement is:
- The largest and fastest growing economic education program in the world
- Local business people teaching in local classrooms
- Providing relevance to classroom learning
- Giving kids a useful reason to stay in school
- Helping kids succeed
- Giving kids a reason to want to learn to read, calculate, work and succeed
A growing number of volunteers, educators, parents, and contributors reach out to 4 million kids nationwide making a total of 7 million worldwide. In Jacksonville, 500 volunteers will teach over 16,400 K-12 First Coast students in the 2006-07 school year – a 67% increase over the previous year. Please join our team and volunteer or contribute to help us reach even more kids.
